Attribution par l'Université de St-Gall d'un doctorat Honoris Causa en sciences politiques (Dr. rer.publ. h.c.) en reconnaissance d'un engagement constant pour les Droits de l'Homme et des traveaux menés pour comprendre en profondeur les divergences relatives la conception du droit et de l'Etat entre l'Europe et les Etats-Unis.

Conferimento del dottorato d'onore in scienze politiche (Dr. rer.publ. h.c.) dall' Università di St. Gallen, nell'apprezzamento del impegno deciso per i diritti dell'uomo e l'analisi fondamentale dei concetti divergenti di diritto e stato in Europa e negli Stati Uniti.
